Skipper, the Basset shown below with his Mom (Dolores Marshall), was to be euthanized at a local shelter because he was ill. Basset Rescue of So. California persuaded shelter staff to release him to rescue. Skipper's life was saved! He was made healthy with antibiotics and TLC, then was adopted by his foster family.
